Arcadia Glamping’s Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

At the heart of everything we do at Arcadia, is a belief in the benefit that a thriving, wildlife rich environment has on people’s physical and mental wellbeing.

We love the natural and rugged beauty of Arcadia and therefore have chosen to follow the principles of wildlife friendly gardening, leaving many areas untouched and uncultivated in order to create a sustainable haven for wildlife, and to encourage new species to take up residence.

It takes a little getting used to but you have to learn to love those ‘weeds’!

We are committed at Arcadia Glamping to minimising our impact on our natural environment and we want to do our bit to increase our biodiversity and to support the ecology of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Cabin Elysium

Our luxury glamping cabins have been manufactured with high insulation values that surpass current regulations and with double-glazed windows which help keep heat loss to a minimum.

We use sustainable and 100% green energy sources to light and heat our cabins.  Our lighting is low energy LED and our appliances have all been selected for their energy efficiency.

We are committed to recycling as much waste as possible and we provide recycling facilities for our guests to assist us with this.

The wood we provide for our outdoor fires is seasoned wood from windfall trees sourced within our woodland.

Cabin Halcyon

Where possible, our interior & exterior furniture, fixtures and fittings are handmade, up-cycled or re-cycled.

Our textiles have been carefully selected in line with our ambition to reduce our environmental impact. Whenever possible we select fairly-traded fabrics made using renewable material, or sustainable material.

We have taken care to source eco-friendly products for our cabins including Faith in Nature toiletries and eco cleaning products, as well as recycled toilet roll and kitchen paper.

We use dry composting toilets made by market leader Seperatt.

We are not experts, but we are trying our best to ‘do our bit.’

If you can think of any ways in which we can improve please do let us know.
