Arcadia Glamping is located close to Loch Lomond and the picturesque village of Drymen in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park - Britain’s fourth largest national park.

THE VILLAGE

The village of Drymen sits in the hills at the western end of the Campsie Fells, overlooking the Endrick Water as it nears Loch Lomond, referred to by author Sir Walter Scott as the “Queen of all Scottish Lakes”. Drymen has a long history. In the 18th and 19th centuries the village was a popular stopover for Highland cattle drovers

Conveniently, Drymen is just a 5 minute car journey away from Arcadia Glamping, an 8 minute cycle or a 20 minute walk. The village has good facilities including a small Spar supermarket, pubs, restaurants, cafés, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, doctor’s surgery, and gift shops.

The popular village of Balmaha which sits on the shores of Loch Lomond can be reached by car in just 10 minutes.

Arcadia Glamping is well located to explore our magnificent cities. By car, the centre of Glasgow can be reached in 50 minutes, Edinburgh City Centre 1.5 hours and Stirling just 30 minutes.

Glasgow airport is just 24 miles away from Arcadia Glamping. Other easily accessible airports are Edinburgh International Airport which is approximately 1 hour’s drive away 

TRAIN

The closest train station is in the village of Balloch which is just 8 miles away. This station is accessible from Glasgow Central Station. Alternatively, Milngavie Train Station is approximately 13 miles away and Stirling Train Station is 23 miles away. There are taxi ranks at all stations.
